Who are you?
We are the Shaw-Borish family and we live in Fitler Square. We have three children: Elijah (13), Sonia (11), and Noa (5).
Tell us what makes you extra awesome!
I run a small private practice that specializes in Maternal Mental Health and the cool new thing we’re doing is in-home postpartum visits all over the City, surrounding suburbs and South Jersey.
What are your kids doing that is super cool?
My 13-year-old son designed a T-shirt to raise money for Black Lives Matter as a result of becoming very upset about police brutality and racism in general in our country. He is selling the t-shirts for $25 and all proceeds go towards Black Lives Matter. People are just sending checks made out to Black Lives Matter to our home or they are Venmo-ing me money. We’ve made $2000 already! Several people wanted their shirts donated so along with sandwiches my kids made we gave out some of the t-shirts to homeless in Kensington.

Why do you call the Philadelphia area home and what makes it a special place to raise tweens?
I was raised in Rittenhouse Square and always knew I would move back to raise my own kids.
How can we learn more about your project?
My business Web site is www.wholeheartmaternalmentalhealth.com. For inquiries about the shirts, people can email me.
