SDP Wants to Know if Your Student is Vaccinated Against Covid 19

Prove it

The School District of Philadelphia is asking parents and guardians of students vaccinated against Covid 19 to provide proof. Student Health Services Administrator Dr. Mercedes Gutierrez says it’s not a requirement, however knowledge of the vaccination rates in schools will assist in determining which students must quarantine and inform future health and safety plans. Just take a photo of your student’s vaccination card and email it to the Office of Student Health Services at 5vax@philasd.org.

 Testing Protocol Expansion

At the beginning of this school year, the District implemented a Covid 19 testing program that requires high school students who participate in certain sports or performing arts to be tested twice a week. In October, this will be extended to include middle school students. This includes unvaccinated students from 6th through 12th who participate in the following:

  • High contact sports
  • Sing in rostered choir
  • Play in a band ensemble more than 3 days a week (brass and woodwind instruments only)

 Vaccine Events

The District in collaboration with various organizational partners, continues to host vaccine events at schools across the city.  To find an event near you visit the district’s COVID-19 Vaccine information website.
