40 Winks at the Penn Museum
May 31 @ 5:30 pm - June 1 @ 9:00 am EDT
Budding archaeologists*, along with an adult (age 21+) get an “after-hours passport” to explore the world at the Penn Museum in an entirely new way: with a guided flashlight expedition through Ancient Greece, Rome, China, Japan, and more during this one-of-a-kind sleepover. Featuring a scavenger hunt, games, and other interactive activities, 40 Winks at the Penn Museum unlocks the wonder of the human story and works to build understanding in a complex world by introducing children to other cultures. As the sun sets behind the 130-year-old Museum, a cultural gem in our own backyard, it’s time for the VIP adventurers to roll out their sleeping bags and catch 40 Winks amidst the statues of gods and goddesses from ancient Egypt. In the morning, enjoy an all-you-care-to-eat breakfast and spend all day investigating the other treasures throughout the Penn Museum. The children also receive an all-access pass that gives them FREE ADMISSION for the remainder of the school year and through August 2019.
